Simply Morzine recognise that an enjoyable and memorable dining experience is an integral part of your holiday. That is why, in our catered chalets, we employ a team of professional chefs and trained chalet hosts to deliver delectable cuisine and excellent wine. Our chefs use local suppliers to freshly prepare delicious four course evening meals accompanied by quaffable house wines & beers, breakfast with hot option, afternoon tea with homemade cakes plus welcome and farewell drinks and canapés. Additionally, our summer chalet holidays feature al fresco dining including a splendid barbecue banquet. At our Morzine hotel, enjoy a taste of French cuisine as well as specialities from the local alpine region.
Superb cuisine prepared only by professional chefs
Unlike competitors, Simply Morzine DO NOT train ‘crash-course’ hosts to follow a company ‘set seasonal menu’ using their standard recipe book. On the contrary, our catered chalet chefs have graduated from well-renowned cookery schools or have trained and worked in professional kitchens. Simply Morzine stand out from the competition because we allow our talented chefs the freedom to express themselves in creating their own menus – to fully display their skills and personality.
Please note that our chalet staff have 1 day off per week (usually Wednesday unless with prior agreement). On this day, breakfast is included (no hot option) but not afternoon cakes, children’s supper or evening meal.

At our catered chalets, enjoy a kir royale aperitif with canapés before settling down to your sumptuous evening meal. Served on our weekly arrival and departure days and midweek for exclusive occupancy short breaks.

Our chalets operate an extremely popular honesty bar system, with a selection of very reasonably priced beers, spirits, soft drinks, and chocolate bars. It is stocked and managed by the chalet staff and the small margin is for them, not profit for the company.

Enjoy the daily hot option in our catered chalets including favourites such as scrambled eggs with or without smoked salmon, eggs Benedict or bacon, fried eggs and grilled tomatoes. An extended continental breakfast is provided in both Hotel la Chaumiere and the catered chalets. This includes fresh pastries, bread, jam, fruit, yoghurts, cold meats and cheese, along with English (Yorkshire!) tea, coffee and fruit juices.

Freshly baked cakes or biscuits await your return to your catered chalet after a day in the mountains. A selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit syrups (the French equivalent of squash) are always available 24/7 from the chalet drinks station with our compliments.

We cater for all the family, serving a freshly cooked and healthy children's meal at around 6pm. This is 'proper food' for the little ones, with a tasty menu that parents will approve of. Alternatively, unlike many other chalets and chalet-hotels, children are more than welcome to join adults for the main evening mail if you prefer to dine together as a family.

Sit down to a splendid four course set evening meal that exhibits a range of culinary delights. Dinner in the catered chalets consists of a starter, main course and dessert - with the addition of canapés, sorbet or cheeseboard as the 4th course - followed by coffee. Your chef will showcase their talent and produce gourmet food to satisfy your taste buds after a day of alpine adventure.

Our catered chalet wines are carefully chosen from all corners of France. We offer a balanced selection of 7 house wines (3 white, 3 red, 1 rosé) which are free-flowing during meal time. In our catered chalets we also include beer during meal times for the non wine drinkers.
The excellent wine list at Hotel la Chaumiere is renowned as one of the best in Morzine, ranging from house wines right through to fine wines.

The focus point of la Chaumiere is the stylish and elegant restaurant. The superb buffet breakfast wants for nothing, with choice galore. Unwind at dinner whilst being treated to a variety of French dishes and local specialities - including perhaps the best fondue in Morzine!

We will do our best to accommodate any food allergies, intolerances or other special dietary requirements. Whilst we provide a set evening meal, we will, of course, endeavour to offer an alternative should there be something on the menu that you cannot eat. In fairness to your chef, we are sure you appreciate this does not apply to likes and dislikes.
