The Chalet-Hotel la Chaumiere is a charming family-run, typically Savoyard chalet-style hotel. Dating back to 1934, it is the oldest hotel in Morzine and has remained with the same family through the generations. Our very good friends and neighbours, Michèle, Franck and family, own and manage the hotel, providing a welcoming, relaxed and ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere within very comfortable surroundings.

The hotel is available in winter and summer for weekend and midweek breaks (excluding over peak winter season), as well as for weekly holidays. Simply Morzine work closely with the hotel, both before and during your stay. We will be on hand to help and advise you upon arrival and throughout the duration of your holiday with us in Morzine.

La Chaumiere is perfectly located, immediately next to our own Chalet des Montagnes in the Les Nants area of Morzine. Under normal snow conditions, there is 'doorstep' skiing to and from the rear of the hotel. This is a quiet residential area with magnificent views of Morzine and the surrounding mountains, yet just 10 minutes walk to the shops, bars, restaurants and facilities of the town centre.

‘Excellent facilities’

The hotel benefits from a heated swimming pool, welcoming bar, cosy restaurant and comfortable lounge, all with beautiful furnishings. The 25 bedrooms have been equipped to a good standard with ensuite facilities, balcony, TV and telephone. Some rooms have extra beds and are large enough to accommodate families and extra adults. There is also a ski store and drying room. Within the hotel grounds are a pleasant summer garden and a spacious parking area.
