I taught Art for 28 years, specialising
in painting and drawing, but with a strong interest in art history
and ceramic design.
Many artists come to the Chalet des Montagnes
to make visual responses to this area, blessed with natural beauty.
Towering mountain peaks, perpetually topped with snow even in the
summer, serene lakes, old villages, torrents, gorges, pine forests
and pastures are all varieties of its landscape. The textures,
colours and pure mountain light offer amazing artistic opportunities.

Whatever your interest in art,
you will be made most welcome to my home in the Alps, where
you can enjoy good company, wine and food.
Increasingly a group of like-minded
friends book the entire chalet with us providing a highly
qualified tutor. Alternatively, you could do your own thing;
sketch, paint or photograph, working independently to develop
your own ideas in a creative and inspiring environment. Your
holiday can be tailor-made to your groups' exact requirements.
